Braylon Mitchell Named To Butkus Award Watch List

Most of these watch lists are pretty predictable. Then sometimes, you get a curve ball throw your way.

I'll just say I was not expecting Arkansas to have anyone named to the Butkus Award watch list, the award given to the best linebacker in America. This is similar to how I did not expect any Hogs to be named to the Thorpe Award list (best defensive back) and none were.

Nevertheless, congrats to Braylon Mitchell for his inclusion on the Butkus Award watch list.

Mitchell is a senior linebacker who, in 2013, started eight games and played in 11. He made 77 tackles, including notching double-digit tackles against Auburn and Samford. He made one sack last season in the finale against LSU.
