Arkansas Softball Coach Mike Larabee Resigns

Larabee is out as Razorback softball coach after six seasons and a disastrous 2015 campaign. Two of his six seasons have resulted in NCAA Tournament berths but 2015 saw Arkansas suffer a 16-37 record overall and just 1-23 in the SEC. Over his six years, Larabee's teams were 38-114 in SEC games. I'd say a change might be a good idea.

I have absolutely no clue how the world of college softball coaches works, and no idea who might be a candidate to take Larabee's place. One interesting thing to consider is that Jeff Long has come under some (very mild) criticism from some corners for having only one female head coach in his athletic department. This might be an opportunity to help alleviate that.
