The Mike Anderson Era Is At A Crossroads
After suffering what may have been the single worst day in his Arkansas tenure, we have to try to figure out what's next for Mike Anderson and the Razorback basketball program.
Mike Anderson Signs Extension With Arkansas Through 2020
The Razorbacks signed Anderson to a 7-year deal when he was first hired in 2011, and this is his first extension since that agreement. The press release indicates new incentive bonuses based on the men's basketball program's graduation success rate. Six basketball players graduated last spring. The extension does not include a raise for Anderson.

Can't be much more specific than that. No more getting away with "progress" or "building" or "getting better". This year, "progress" means being in the NCAA Tournament and doing something once they get there.

Coach Watkins tweeted about this yesterday, and here's the photo along with it. According to the tweet there, it looks like it was the 11th hole, 141 yards with a 9-iron. Congrats, coach! With practice set to start soon, this is an omen for the season, right? Also, a free round of Pepsi at Bud Walton? That's how this works, I think?

Sports Illustrated published this new story on Mike Anderson and Arkansas basketball. Nothing really new here, save for a couple of factual inaccuracies by Seth Davis, but further hits home that failing to make the NCAA Tournament is failure for this season.
