Arkansas Razorback Internet Chatter: Oct. 7 - Selection Committee Mess, Kenyan Drake, Bama Preview, AND MORE

Plus, a list of the croots who will be on hand Saturday, and the Tweet of the Week!

I think we are all still recovering from a wacky and wild college football weekend last Saturday. Three of the top five teams in the nation fall and leave the door wide open for anyone and everyone to try and get their foot in the College Football Playoff. We found out a lot about the Mississippi schools, and saw Katy Perry, aside from throwing corn dogs and being insane, pick more games correctly than Lee Corso. It was a drama-filled weekend indeed, and leaves a huge mess for the playoff committee to figure out. Best of luck, Jeff Long.

In a moment that humanized Saturday's festivities, Alabama's Kenyan Drake suffered one of the more gruesome ankle/leg injuries I've seen in a while. Drake, outside of Amari Cooper, has been a deep threat candidate for Blake Sims at receiver some this season. But his year is over after just five games. So how will Alabama account for his loss on offense? I still say just throw it to Amari Cooper, but that's just me. Could it mean meaningful touches for Altee Tenpenny?

How will Alabama respond Saturday? The Tide will be rolling into another hostile environment, this time a sold out crowd in Fayetteville, and Arkansas fans are ready to erupt. Nick Saban's team looked human and very beatable at times last week. But why is it that when Alabama loses everyone panics? Every time they drop a game folks are wondering if Saban is starting to lose his edge. ESPN's SEC Blog says there's no time for Alabama to panic.

The scene is set for Saturday's showdown in Razorback Stadium. Alabama will be looking to avenge their loss to Ole Miss over the weekend, and Arkansas will attempt to give Bret Bielema his first SEC win. The storylines are set. But that doesn't mean we can't keep talking about it. Here's a game preview.

It's also going to be a HUGE crootin' weekend on The Hill Saturday. Lots of big time recruits, many of them already Arkansas commits, will be visiting. Gonna be fun.
