Alexy Jean-Baptiste Signs with the Arkansas Razorbacks

Linebacker 6'3" 205 lbs. Coconut Creek, Florida

Alexy Jean-Baptiste is joining the linebacker train heading into Fayetteville in 2016. One of four linebacker commits, he is coming in to the program when they really need linebackers. Right now the Hogs have Dre Greenlaw and Brooks Ellis, but those guys need help and hopefully Jean-Baptiste can make a positive impact. He isn't the highest rated recruit but he has an impressive list of offers, including schools like Miami, Wisconsin, Michigan State, and plenty others. Clearly there is something there that a lot of high quality coaches wanted on their team.

Vernon Hargreaves was brought in to coach linebackers and help recruit the South Florida recruiting hotbed. Getting Jean-Baptiste made step one a success in that regard, now if Hargreaves develops him well Arkansas will be in much better shape at linebacker.

Jean-Baptiste will need a little Body By Herb workouts, he is a little undersized for a linebacker but that can be improved with time. The most important thing is that Bret Bielema and his staff have fought off some pretty impressive schools to grab some linebackers from out of state.
