Arkansas Recruiting Update: Nate Dalton Commits to the Razorbacks

Cornerback 6' 2" 185 lbs Houston, Texas

Fayetteville's famed Catfish Hole has worked it's magic for the first time this offseason. At least that's what we'll go with.

CB Nate Dalton committed to Arkansas Thursday afternoon.

Dalton is a consensus 3-star recruit from Houston. He held offers from Oklahoma, Kentucky, Michigan, and others but had a top 3 of Arkansas, Kentucky, and Liberty.

Dalton visited Arkansas over the weekend. It was his third official visit after visiting Oklahoma and Kentucky in December. He was scheduled to visit Michigan this weekend but has since cancelled that visit. (Take that Harbaugh!)

Arkansas is of course trying to build defensive depth in the secondary, and this is the type of lengthy player that fits Robb Smith's system perfectly. This is Arkansas' second commitment in the secondary along with S Dre Greenlaw although it was rumored at one time that LaMichael Pettway could play on the defensive side of the ball.

This commit jumps Arkansas over Virginia Tech for the 23rd ranked class in the nation. Arkansas could jump back into the top 20 should KJ Hill get back on board and Toby Weathersby decide to commit.

Buckle your chinstraps. Arkansas has around 6 more scholarships to play with and the next 2 weeks should be really fun.
