If there's one position in which Arkansas is incredibly deep and talented, it's certainly linebacker. And if you believe that, welcome to your first day of following Razorback football.
This is definitely an unfortunate development. It's also odd timing coming a week into fall camp of Peters' junior season. We don't have any further information on this beyond Bielema's tweet.
Peters' departure further weakens the depth chart at linebacker for the Hogs. It likely paves the way for another newcomer to play this season at middle linebacker behind Brooks Ellis, although many fans have hoped since his signing that Peters would become a force at the position.
Peters was a 4* linebacker out of Covington, Louisiana when he committed to Arkansas after flipping from Tennessee just before Signing Day in 2012. He had a great freshman season during the infamous 2012 campaign but it ended with a bright spot for Peters as he was named to the All-SEC Freshman team. But his production went down as a sophomore after suffering an injury in fall camp. He played only seven games and made nine tackles after making 32 as a freshman.
We hope everything works out for Peters but this is certainly disappointing news for Razorback fans.
