Cordale Boyd will be wearing number 72 for the Arkansas Razorbacks this season. Boyd chose Arkansas over numerous other offers that include SEC schools Ole Miss and Mississippi State.
Boyd will start the summer practices behind Brey Cook on the Depth Chart at the Guard position. In Coach Bielema's new offense, which will put more of an emphasis on running the ball, Boyd may be able to shine. In his High School day's at Memphis Ridgeway he helped the Roadrunners have a 3,500 yard rushing season in the 2009 season, according to his ArkansasRazorback.com bio.
Boyd did not come to the Hill alone. He and his high school teammate Brandon Lewis both chose to become Razorbacks.
Boyd spent last season working with the scout team, while preparing himself for SEC football. Boyd will be a redshirt freshman this season. He will have the opportunity to see some playing time this season.
Pictured is former lineman Grant Cook. Cook came to Arkansas from Jonesboro in the class of 2007, and was named to the SEC All-Freshman team in 2008. He was a frequent contributor and sometimes starter on the offensive line for the next three seasons, earning a spot on the preseason All-SEC team in 2011 before his senior year.
You can apparently see Cook in the upcoming Brandon Burlsworth movie Greater. He's made several references to filming it on Twitter.
