Arkansas' class of 2016 is officially off and running. Jordan Jones became the first 2016 player to commit to the Razorbacks Thursday afternoon.

Jones is a receiver from Smackover who reportedly earned an offer from Arkansas after attending camp recently, and decided to jump on it.

Because he's a 2016 prospect, he hasn't been rated by the recruiting services, but he did already hold an offer from Tulsa and was reportedly drawing interest from Oklahoma State, Mississippi State, and others.

He's exactly the type of in-state player Razorback fans hope for. He had this to say in a story by Richard Davenport:

"I’m from Arkansas, so I’ve always cheered for them" Jones said. "My dad is a huge Arkansas fan, so hands down that’s where he’s always wanted me to play. I like them a lot."

and

I like Arkansas because: it's my home state and I bleed red

So there you go. Simple enough.
