Arkansas Football Countdown: 2 Days - Julian Horton

The day after tomorrow...

US PRESSWIRE

We've reached #2. It's surreal. There are actually college football games (SEC games!) on TV tonight and that is amazing.

Arkansas will need to rely on a pair of experienced senior wide receivers this season and Julian Horton is one of those guys.

Horton was one of the wideouts listed at the top of Arkansas' depth chart even before the transfer and injuries, and now he'll be counted to to deliver even more than before. In his three seasons thus far at Arkansas, Horton, much like fellow senior Javontee Herndon, has seen plenty of time on the field but has never blossomed into becoming a true go-to wide receiver.

2012 was his most productive year, catching 14 passes for 193 yards and two scores. But Horton did show flashes of potential in the one open scrimmage this fall, leading the team with 6 catches for 63 yards, so here's hoping for a breakthrough this fall.

Bret Bielema has talked up this senior class ever since he got to Fayetteville and in two, count 'em, two more days, we'll see what they can do.
