It hasn't been the best month for Mike Anderson. Many fans began questioning his recruiting ability by missing on Jamal Jones and the absence of guards in the 2013 recruiting class. And with the season ending on a down note, it's been a few weeks of eehhhhhh.
But this is a big win for Anderson. We finally got a commitment from a point guard COUGHstillnotforthisseasonbutCOUGH we have a quality point guard commitment!
Yes, Arkansas really needs guards this year, but with Mardracus Wade and Rickey Scott heading into their senior seasons, the Razorbacks really need guards to commit to the 2014 class.
Beard was originally committed to Missouri, but decommitted recently and said he was considering Arkansas, LSU, Tennessee, and UMass with additional offers from Memphis, Georgetown, Florida State and others. He's 6-1, 180, and spent recent seasons playing at Little Rock Parkview before transferring to North Little Rock for his upcoming senior season.
