The Razorbacks added to their secondary class with the signing of Texas safety Micahh Smith. Smith was a late target for the Hogs, first coming onto Arkansas' recruiting scene a couple of weeks ago.
He was offered in Fayetteville while on his official visit last weekend. He is a 2-star recruit with offers from Texas State and a few others. He made 123 tackles in his senior season at Marshall in one of the bigger conferences in Texas and picked off three passes.
Smith is among a group of secondary targets for Arkansas who announced late. Deon Edwards committed early this year but everyone else is just recently. The Hogs are awaiting signatures from JUCO All-America cornerback Joseph Putu and anxiously awaiting the decision of Louisiana cornerback Kristian Fulton, both of whom the Hogs hope join Smith and Edwards in the secondary in Fayetteville.
