All that plus offseason football updates!

College football never stops for ESPN, right now their SEC Blog has a series talking about the biggest recruiting needs for each team this offseason. For the Hogs, the recruiting focus should be at the running back position. While I am more concerned about filling out the depth at linebacker, this will be a need for the Hogs. Kody Walker and Raleigh Williams do have some issues with injuries. Bringing in Devwah Whaley could be the biggest piece coming in for the offense in 2016.

The Times Record has a 2016 roster breakdown running and today they look at the defensive line. Two things jump out when looking at the depth chart. First, that this is going to be a very deep group. Bret Bielema should have no issues going with eight linemen again next season. Second, there is plenty of experience for McTelvin Agim and Briston Guidry to learn from. This is probably the best case scenario for those two because they get playing time while getting a chance to learn from experienced players all without the huge expectations on their shoulders.

After a win in the NCAA Tournament last season, Jimmy Dykes second year got off to a rough start. Recently they have been able to make an incredibly likely turn around. The women's basketball squad won their version of the Battle Line rivalry this weekend and made it three wins over ranked teams in their past four games. Things are looking up for the future as well as their top signee for next season, Aaliyah Wilson was named a McDonald's All-American today. The record may not be flattering right now, but things are definitely looking up for them.

If you haven't checked in to any Chicago Bulls games yet to check out Bobby Portis, first of all shame on you. Bobby Portis is starting to fit into the rotation nicely and getting some good minutes. Those minutes are only about to go up now. Joakim Noah's ugly shoulder injury will keep him sidelined for a while and Bobby is near the front of the line to take those minutes. Chicago fans have really seemed to embrace Portis and are calling for more minutes for him. If he takes advantage of this situation, the front office could pull the trigger on the rumored trading another big for a guard and more time for Portis.
