It seems like I haven't gotten to write this sentence much the last few years but here goes: Arkansas got a commitment from an actual safety prospect. Not an "athlete" who could turn into a safety, or a big cornerback who could be a safety, but a player actually listed as a safety. Rare day, today.
That prospect is Deon Edwards, from Minneola, Florida (central Florida near Orlando). He's a 3* prospect who chose Arkansas over offers from South Carolina, Missouri, Louisville, NC State, and others. He actually just visited South Carolina a few days ago but that didn't keep him from pulling the trigger for the Hogs. He last visited Fayetteville in early June.
Edwards is Arkansas' 12th commitment in the 2016 class and the first defensive back.
Always good to #CalltheHogs all the way from Clermont, FL. Building it one day at a time with one #UnCommon man at a time! #WoooPig
