I was afraid Bielema would give an answer like this about Allen. It seems like he's rarely definitive about how long a player will be out unless it's clear to everyone a player will be out for an extended period of time. My gut says it's an outside chance Allen plays on Friday. Perhaps if the team was still fighting for bowl eligibility it might be more likely, but since that's already taken care of, I'm not going this week expecting to see him.

Let's just hope it doesn't come to this. Derby himself is questionable and how awful to burn a redshirt on the last - regular season - game of the year.

He's certainly got plenty of experience in that department. See all of 2013.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-partner="tweetdeck"><p>BB: Brandon Allen by nature is more reliant on the cause and effect of things. Austin Allen is less concerned with the logistics.</p>&mdash; Razorback Nation (@RazNation) <a href="https://twitter.com/RazNation/status/536944203029180416">November 24, 2014</a></blockquote>

<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

I don't even know what this means.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-partner="tweetdeck"><p>BB: I wasn&#39;t surprised with Austin Allen because he&#39;s a great kid. I&#39;m thrilled for him.</p>&mdash; Razorback Nation (@RazNation) <a href="https://twitter.com/RazNation/status/536945448729063424">November 24, 2014</a></blockquote>

<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Austin made a couple of big time passes in the Ole Miss game. The two field goal drives he led were huge. The question is, if he starts on Friday, how many points will the offense even need to score and will they also rely more on direct snaps to Williams/Collins?

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-partner="tweetdeck"><p>BB: We plan on having our Thanksgiving dinner on Wednesday, letting the boys sleep in on Thursday, and then getting to work on Friday.</p>&mdash; Razorback Nation (@RazNation) <a href="https://twitter.com/RazNation/status/536944740130762752">November 24, 2014</a></blockquote>

<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

I bet the Bret Bielema Thanksgiving feast is top notch.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-partner="tweetdeck"><p>BB: Chaney shared with the players that if they didn&#39;t turn the ball over on Saturday that they had a 90% chance to win. That was powerful.</p>&mdash; Razorback Nation (@RazNation) <a href="https://twitter.com/RazNation/status/536945970655666178">November 24, 2014</a></blockquote>

<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Also, if the defense shuts out the opponent, there is a 99% chance they will win. (I would have said 100%, but that Wake Forest/Virginia Tech game went to OT with a 0-0 score, so you know.)

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-partner="tweetdeck"><p>Bielema on Korliss: Not much to update. <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

"Short" not an adjective usually used to describe Bielema. That should tell you he was in a place he does not like to be.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-partner="tweetdeck"><p>BB: Until someone wants to help themselves, there isn&#39;t much I can do to help. Korliss is at that junction.</p>&mdash; Razorback Nation (@RazNation) <a href="https://twitter.com/RazNation/status/536947734008168448">November 24, 2014</a></blockquote>

<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-partner="tweetdeck"><p>Bielema: Martrell Spaight -- he&#39;s an All-American. He might not be listed that way but he&#39;s an All-American</p>&mdash; Thomas Murphy (@TomMurphyADG) <a href="https://twitter.com/TomMurphyADG/status/536948210451759105">November 24, 2014</a></blockquote>

<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Are we absolutely sure there's no way to get Spaight another year? Like we can't erase one of those juco years or anything? No medical redshirts? No of those "he had mono" years Petrino used to do to get redshirts?

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-partner="tweetdeck"><p>Bielema on playing a ranked opponent in every conference game this season: &quot;I think our bye week was ranked No. 7.&quot;</p>&mdash; Robbie Neiswanger (@NWARobbie) <a href="https://twitter.com/NWARobbie/status/536949636083118080">November 24, 2014</a></blockquote>

<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Oh, bye week opponent jokes. Always kill for some reason.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-partner="tweetdeck"><p>BB: I think that people anticipated that I would bring in cookie cutter football when I came here.</p>&mdash; Razorback Nation (@RazNation) <a href="https://twitter.com/RazNation/status/536948572697014272">November 24, 2014</a></blockquote>

<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

This ain't no three yards and a cloud of dust old Big 10 offense. But he is bringing those big linemen along with him, which is appreciated.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-partner="tweetdeck"><p>BB: The last couple of weeks Missouri has reminded me of Mississippi State and Ole Miss. I hope they remind him more of Ole Miss than Mississippi State.
