Michael Qualls Tears ACL During Draft Workout
Terrible news: Arkansas wing Michael Qualls tore his ACL in a workout in Phoenix. Injury diagnosed by the Lakers next day. Out 6-12 months.
— Jonathan Givony (@DraftExpress) June 15, 2015
Oh man this is horrible. Assuming this is true, and I have no reason to doubt that it is, what a huge disappointment for Qualls. It will be interesting to see if teams will still be willing to take a chance on Qualls in the 2nd round, considering how much of his game is based on his explosiveness, which will certainly be in question until he heals. Also, to reiterate, why can't players come back to school if they don't get drafted? Baseball players can actually get drafted out of high school and again after their junior year and still come back to play their senior season. I'll never understand that.
Arkansas Pitcher James Teague Out For The College World Series
Per DVH, James Teague has a stress reaction in his elbow and will not be available the remainder of the season.
— #OmaHogs (@RazorbackBSB) June 9, 2015
This is certainly a blow for Arkansas' already-thin pitching staff. Teague started Game 3 of the super regionals against Missouri State and pitched four innings without giving up an earned run. Dominic Taccolini has also been benched with an injury for the last few weeks and won't be back this season. Freshman pitcher Keaton McKinney has been hampered by a hip injury but has played this postseason with limited effectiveness. Hopefully the extra time before the Monday game of the College World Series will help in his efforts to rehab.
Juan Day Tears ACL; Will Be Out For Several Months
News from last practice. @dayjuan3 injured his other ACL in a routine play at practice. Had surgery 3/30/15 and is on road to recovery! #WPS
— Bret Bielema (@BretBielema) March 31, 2015
Redshirt freshman running back Juan Day will definitely miss the rest of spring practice after suffering a torn ACL during the opening week of spring practice. Reports are saying this is not the same knee as the one Day injured in high school. It remains to be seen whether or not he'll be able to play this fall in what would likely be a backup role to Jonathan Williams and Alex Collins. The Razorbacks will have Denzell Evans and incoming freshman Rawleigh Williams III available to back them up, along with senior fullback Kody Walker.
Michael Qualls Injured With A Sprained Knee; Status Day-to-Day
Mike Anderson said Michael Qualls sprained his knee Tuesday and is “day-to-day.”
— Scottie Bordelon (@gsbordelon) February 5, 2015
Mike Anderson said the decision regarding whether Qualls plays against Mississippi State on Saturday may not come until just before tipoff. Qualls didn't start but still scored 11 points and grabbed 9 rebounds against South Carolina on Tuesday before suffering the injury late in the game.
Brandon Allen Injury Status Update
Is Arkansas' QB1 getting healthy enough to play on Friday?
Ryan Mallett Out for the Season with Torn Pec Injury
Who got a healthy pec for Ryan Mallett? Man, this is terrible. Mallett of course waited for three years behind Tom Brady for a chance to play in the NFL before being traded this year to Houston. He was victorious in his first start at Cleveland but at some point suffered an injury that led to a shaky performance in Houston yesterday. Now he's out for the year. Feel awful for him.

JoJo Robinson Likely To Redshirt, Apparently
Bielema on Jojo Robinson: We've made the decision that it would probably be in his best interest to consider a redshirt year
— Thomas Murphy (@TomMurphyADG) September 17, 2014
Arkansas' highly touted freshman receiver will likely redshirt, it seems. Robinson obviously has yet to play this season, and suffered an injury in between the Auburn and Nicholls games after being "stepped on" in practice. Throughout the offseason, many expected him to play, but it seems we'll have to wait to see Robinson in action.
Tevin Mitchel May Play Against Texas Tech
Reversal on recent Tevin Mitchel RS talk. He's practicing this week and could be in game plan, per Bret Bielema
— Thomas Murphy (@TomMurphyADG) September 10, 2014
This is per Bielema on the SEC coaches conference call. If he's 100%, he should be able to help the Hogs as they'll need all the DBs they can get against the Raiders. However, I'm skeptical he'll actually play. I think unless Bielema is fully confident at this point in the week that he'll play, he probably won't. We'll have to wait and see though.
JoJo Robinson Out For Nicholls Game; He Was Stepped On
Bret Bielema said on his radio show WR Jojo Robinson will not be available to play Saturday. He said Robinson was stepped on in practice.
— Robbie Neiswanger (@NWARobbie) September 5, 2014
This is the most Arkansas injury possible at this point. I'm going to choose to believe Bielema just wants to surprise Texas Tech with him. Let's try not to step on each other in practice, guys.
