During the year of 2021 nearly every single athletic program has been at least been ranked in their respective sports poll for one week.

Razorback football received a top 25 ranking for the first time since 2016 under former head coach Bret Bielema. Sam Pittman’s Razorbacks are currently 2-0 and coming off a monumental victory over huge rival Texas 40-21.

Arkansas Football had two players earn SEC honors this week for their respective performances on Saturday. Linebacker Hayden Henry earned defensive player of the week for his conference. Henry recorded 15 tackles and 2.5 for a loss against the Longhorns. It was the first time in his career to lead the Hogs in tackles for a game and hit double digits in tackles for a game. Freshman kicker Cam Little went 4-for-4 on field goals this weekend on his way to being SEC Freshman of the Week.

Football isn’t the only sport being played right now, though. Women’s Golf opened their season on Monday in Charleston, South Carolina at the Cougar Classic. Several other SEC foes are there including Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee and Vanderbilt.

After 36 holes into the Cougar Classic Arkansas sits second. One individual Razorback Brooke Matthews stood out on Monday shooting a 63 and 64 and currently sits atop the individual leaderboard.

The Volleyball team will be in Atlanta, Georgia to face Georgia Tech on September 16th. The matchup will start at 3 PM. On the 18th they will travel to Raleigh, North Carolina to face NC State at 6 PM.

This week senior Gracie Ryan and freshman Courtney Jackson received honors this week from the SEC. Ryan was named Setter of the Week for the fourth time in her career, and Jackson was tabbed Freshman of the Week.

Arkansas’ nationally ranked soccer team heads to Knoxville, Tenn. and will face the Lady Volunteers. The game will start at 7 PM on September 17th.

This weekend the University of Arkansas will be hosting a “Family Day” event on campus with the football game against Georgia Southern starting at 3 PM. If you cannot be there the game will be broadcast on the SEC Network.

Arkansas’ Swimming and Diving team will compete at the All-Arkansas Invite this Saturday at 10 AM. The meet will be held in Little Rock.

The Missouri Southern Stampede will be held in Joplin, Missouri on Saturday. The meet will be hosted by Missouri Southern and the Women’s Cross Country team will be competing.
