Arkansas has been on fire when it comes to recruiting in football today.
The Razorbacks pick up their second commitment of the day in Mani Powell out of McKinley, (OH.) High School.
When Michigan initially offered it seemed like the coveted linebacker would stay up north. Sam Pittman’s staff kept pushing to secure a commitment from the three-star linebacker.
Powell is the sixth defensive commitment in the class 2022 class for Arkansas. According to 247sports, he is the 29th ranked player in the state of Ohio with offers from Michigan and Ole Miss.
The linebacker is also the second linebacker committed in this class for the Hogs. Shiloh Christian’s Kaden Henley is the other. There is a possibility that two other high school linebackers could be added to this class as well.
As it goes for rankings, Arkansas rises to 14th in the country. Leapfrogging them past Alabama (6th) and Mississippi State (5th).
