After the devastation of the baseball team’s loss in the Super Regionals, the Arkansas fan base has been in need of a pick-me-up to make it through the summer. They got that today, as highly-coveted defensive end Nico Davillier has committed to Arkansas.
A Maumelle, Arkansas native, Davillier is listed by 247Sports as the number seven player in the state. He is currently being recruited by Defensive Line Coach Jermial Ashley, who has done his fair share of work recruiting over the last few months that he has been on staff.

Davillier held offers from Arkansas, Oklahoma, Auburn and plenty more. As a junior, Davillier was a two-way player. Defensively, he accounted for 39 tackles through eight games, averaging 4.9 per game.
Perhaps the reason that the Razorbacks were able to keep his talents in-state is because of his teammate, Andrew Chamblee, who committed to the Hogs recently. The pair of Maumelle recruits will add a lot of depth at positions that were in dire need of it last season.
Take a look below for Davillier’s Junior Season highlights:
Davillier is the eighth in-state recruit to call the Hogs this season, which is the most since 2015 when Bret Bielema was the head coach.
