Arkansas Recruiting: Britto Tutt Commits to the Razorbacks

Cornerback 6'2" 185 lbs. Augusta, GA (via Ventura, CA C.C.)

One of the criticisms of Arkansas' 2016 signing class back on Signing Day was that the Hogs signed zero cornerbacks. Well, nearly two months later, they found one.

The Razorbacks on Tuesday received a commitment from JUCO defensive back Britto Tutt. Tutt is originally from Augusta, Georgia and spent his freshman year at a community college in Ventura, California.

Tutt was a full qualifier out of high school so he's eligible to transfer to Arkansas after just one season of JUCO football, meaning he will have four years to play three seasons. He chose the Hogs over offers from Oregon State, Hawaii, Louisiana Tech and others.

Last fall, Tutt made 40 tackles including 2 for loss and also had 4 interceptions and 6 pass breakups. Considering his relatively - I suppose - uncommon recruiting situation, he has not been rated by the recruiting services. But since he is a 2016 commitment, he will be eligible to play this fall and can enroll as soon as this summer.
