Open Call For New Contributors For Arkansas Fight

Interested in joining us?

We're in the process of getting all our hogs in a pen for the rapidly approaching school year, and I realized it's been a while since we last reached out for new contributors to the site, so now seems like a great time to see if anybody out there is interested in becoming a contributor to Arkansas Fight.

What we're looking for:

Ideally, we'd love to have someone who's interested in at least football and basketball and/or recruiting. We do cover baseball, and it's great if you're interested in that as well. We may end up needing help covering baseball games this spring.

You can be relied on to contribute regularly - whether that's a routine weekly piece, helping to write about breaking news stories when they happen, and/or the ability to write a quick, short blog post when anything comes up. We'd also hope you participate in the occasional contributor roundtables, interact in comment sections and social media.

Do you have a unique voice that Razorback fans should hear?

If you're a photoshop/gif artist, we could probably use your talents as well.

Can you come up with your own ideas for topics?

You certainly don't have to be located in Northwest Arkansas.

If you're interested, send me an email at heydocharper@gmail.com. In the email, share with me what you think you could bring to the site. Be specific - don't just say "I could do a game preview". What type of game preview? Include a writing sample or a link to one if you have it. If you don't have one, write a fan post or something so show what you can do.

Please keep in mind, this is not a full time job. it's a labor of love, although if you prove that you're reliable and really active on the site, we might be able to provide you with some perks, which can occasionally include money. Feel free to email me to discuss these things further if you're interested.

What I can guarantee is that your contributions will be read, seen, and/or heard (in fact, just today we were linked on the Washington Post's site. Spreading Sooie around the world, I'm tellin' ya) . If you're looking to build a resume, we can certainly help with that (Scottie Bordelon became the sports editor of the UA's Traveler despite OBVIOUSLY BECAUSE OF his association with us for the last year.) If you're simply passionate about the Hogs and want to be a part of the conversation, we can provide that as well.

Also, be willing to use your real name or a fake name that sounds like a real name. I don't want to run stuff written by PigSnout69.

I'm excited to hear from you. My email again is heydocharper@gmail.com.

Sooie, y'all
