Arkansas Razorbacks College World Series Regionals Projections - May 26th

We're just hours away from the selection show, and here's what the experts say the Hogs can look forward to.

All the projections have 10 SEC teams in the field and five of them hosting. That leaves 11 potential landing spots for the Hogs.

Baseball America has the Hogs going to Fort Worth as a 2-seed for the regional hosted by TCU with Sam Houston State and Bucknell as the 2- and 3-seeds. They have the Horned Frogs as the #8 overall seed and they project that group paired up with the San Luis Obispo (Cal Poly) regional in the supers.

Perfect Game projects Arkansas as a 2-seed in the Coral Gables (Miami) regional. UCF and Siena are the others in that group. The scary thing about this projection is the Coral Grables regional is bracketed with the Florida regional in the supers. Not that Arkansas couldn't win that though - they nearly won the series in Gainesville near the beginning of SEC play.

Chasing Omaha also projects the Razorbacks as going to TCU as the 2-seed. They see the Horned Frogs as the #7 overall seed and have Dallas Baptist and Youngstown State as the 3- and 4-seeds. They have this regional paired with the regional hosted by Rice in the next round.

On the surface it might look like going to TCU would be a decent draw, but the Horned Frogs have only lost three games since the beginning of April, and only once at home. They were much shakier in the beginning of the year, losing 12 games between February and March. But they've been rolling lately.

Of course, all the teams hosting - especially the eight national seeds - are all really good, so it's hard to say whether the Hogs get a "good draw" or not. Although I suppose you'd always prefer not to go to one of the eight national seeds if you can avoid it. But it does appear that Arkansas may have solidified a 2-seed, which we have going for us, which is nice.

The Selection Show will air at 11:00 am Central on ESPNU.
