Recruiting Map – National Signing Day hasn't been out of our lives for too long. And since recruiting, especially across the South for football, is so prominent, it never really leaves us, even in the dead of the offseason. So, for your entertainment, here is an interactive recruiting map from SB Nation's college football page. I fooled around with it all during my Geology lab (which I have with Cody Hollister). You can easily spend hours on this map if you get into it enough.
Replacing Chris Smith – Chris Smith will be dearly missed on the end of Arkansas' defensive line next season. We were kind of spoiled with terrific defensive ends last couple of seasons, but because the rest of the defense was so bad, it overshadowed what a tandem Smith and Flowers were. And for next season, Arkansas (thankfully) brings back Flowers. But there is now a big hole on the end of the line because of Smith's departure. So who will replace him? Deatrich Wise? Brandon Lewis?
Big Hoops Weekend – Arkansas' men and women's basketball teams played extremely well over the weekend, notching huge road wins. Arkansas' men won on the road at Mississippi State, keeping its postseason hopes alive for another week. And Tom Collen's women's team upset NO. 19 LSU IN BATON ROUGE! Freshman Jessica Jackson was the difference for Arkansas, draining a pair of threes to give Arkansas the lead for good. It's always a good weekend when LSU loses and we're the reason.
Baseball Underrated – Note: this column was written before Arkansas' second sweep of the season to improve to 6-0 and moved to No. 24 in the latest Baseball America poll. I thought this myself before the season started: Arkansas is really underrated. A Dave Van Horn team is underrated. And what he's going to get his guys to do is embrace the fact they were selected to finish fifth in the SEC West. I never bought into Arkansas being an average team this season. Neither did Harry King.

This is Ky Madden after the Hogs most recent win over Mississippi State. I sense that this team is starting to embrace the "us versus the world" mentality on the road. And because I'm just so hip and in tune with today's youth, I know that Ky is quoting Drake.
