Kendrick Edwards Has Committed To Arkansas - For Real This Time

Wide Receiver 6'6" 200 lbs. Miami, Florida (Norland)

Nelson Chenault-US PRESSWIRE

UPDATE: It's for real this time:

I am officially committed to the University of Arkansas!!! #GoHogs #WPS #Razorback
— K.Edwards6⃣ (@Seis_GoDeep) January 27, 2014

Razorback fans who followed recruiting during the Petrino era may have seen this tweet from yesterday:

Arkansas on top for 3-star WR Kendrick Edwards, but Bobby Petrino will get a chance to change his mind: (VIP) #WPS
— Robert Turbeville (@rturbeville247) January 26, 2014

and thought, "so we're definitely getting Kendrick Edwards!"

And apparently they're right. Edwards committed to Arkansas on Monday morning, before he even took his official visit to Louisville. Edwards took his official visit to Fayetteville over this weekend.

His impressive height will hopefully provide Arkansas with a big receiving target that they sorely lacked in 2013.

Edwards is a 3* wide receiver with an impressive offer list from about 15 schools, including Florida State, South Carolina, Auburn, Kentucky, and others. We're not sure how many of those were actually committable offers but they're reported as offers nonetheless.

Edwards also took an official visit to Rutgers in December.

His lead recruiter was Randy Shannon. Edwards is currently the 22nd commitment in Arkansas' class.

Here are his junior year highlights:
