Redshirt junior Alan Turner is listed as one of the two backup free safeties (along with Kelvin Fisher Jr) on the Arkansas post-spring depth chart behind senior Eric Bennett.
Turner came to Fayetteville from Junction City in the recruiting class of 2010, joining his Dragons teammate Byron Jones.
He appeared in all 12 games last season and made his first career start at safety against Texas A&M (bless his heart), where he made six tackles. Turner started the next week against Auburn and intercepted a fourth quarter pass in the end zone to help seal the Razorbacks' victory. In all, he made 14 tackles throughout the year.
He played in eight games as a redshirt freshman in 2011, including the Cotton Bowl victory over Kansas State. He made four tackles that year on special teams.
Oh and by the way, the team reports for fall camp today. It's football time. Finally.
