The Razorbacks have a pair of walk-ons wearing number 16 this season, a junior and senior who have both found ways to get on the field already in their careers.
Pictured is senior safety Price Holmes, from Batesville. 2013 is Holmes' fifth season in Fayetteville. After redshirting in 2009, he made an appearance in the 2010 UTEP game, but didn't see the field again until last year, when he appeared in all 12 games. He mostly appeared on special teams and did record a tackle in the Rutgers game.
The other number 16 is quarterback Brian Buehner. He's a junior from Louisville who's spent a lot of time as one of Zach Hocker's holders for the last couple of years. With Buehner as his holder last year, Hocker was 32-of-32 on extra points (easy joke: Arkansas scored 32 touchdowns last year?) and 11-of-18 on field goal attempts to score 65 points. The Hocker-Buehner combo scored 118 points in 2011.
He also did well enough in the 2011 spring game that he inspired this Hogville thread, where some were saying he should have been Tyler Wilson's backup at quarterback.
Here's hoping for a great season for these two.
