#97 is currently worn by defensive end Darrell Kelly-Thomas. Defensive end is arguably the deepest postition on the Arkansas roster and the sophomore from Lufkin, Texas is not currently listed on Arkansas' post-spring two-deep. He could contribute on special teams or scout teams this fall.
97 was recently worn by Antwain Robinson (pictured) from 2005-2008. The defensive end from Little Rock Central's redshirt was burned for the final three games of 2005, then was followed up with a tremendous 2006 season in which he earned 2nd-team All-SEC honors from the coaches. That year, he totaled 68 tackles and 8.5 sacks.
Unfortunately, Robinson's story doesn't end as well as we'd hoped after 2006. He was arrested for shoplifting during the offseason in 2007 and was never the same player. He still played in 2007 but started only about half the season's games. When Bobby Petrino took over for Houston Nutt shortly after the season, Robinson was among the players who reportedly had difficulty transitioning to Petrino's style. Robinson struggled to see the field his senior year.
