This is an update to a story we posted on Williams' arrest on Sunday. This story includes John L. Smith's comments from his weekly Monday press conference.
According to the police report, Williams was pulled over Sunday morning after his vehicle crossed the center line. Williams refused a blood-alcohol test and was "uncooperative" and "very argumentative" after failing a field-sobriety test and being transported to the Washington County Detention Center.
Williams was released on $910 bail and has a Dec. 14 court date.
On Monday, Arkansas head coach John L. Smith addressed the situation and made it clear he was upset about it.
"I don't even want to talk about that right now,'' Smith said. "I don't even want to talk to him right now. If you have that little compassion, respect, love for your teammates, it's hard for me to show compassion, love for you, if that makes sense.
"So, right now, I don't even want to talk to him, and we'll decide. I can't give you an answer. I'm just extremely upset with him.''
On Saturday, Arkansas (4-5) visits No. 8 South Carolina Gamecocks in a SEC showdown (noon ET on CBS).
