Arkansas Makes Final Four for SF Micah Thomas

Thomas is a 6'7" forward from Huntington Prep by way of Memphis. He's ranked #102 overall on Rivals and #155 on the composite rankings. As you can see from the tweet, his other finalists are Louisville, LSU, and Maryland but he also holds offers from Memphis, Iowa State, Baylor, Tennessee, Florida, and others. He's visiting Louisville soon. Arkansas has one spot remaining in the 2016 class as of now.

Arkansas Women's Basketball Turning Season Around?

Jimmy Dykes and crew struggled pretty badly to start the season, suffering a 5-9 start to the season and opening SEC play with a 85-32 loss to South Carolina, but the Razorbacks are coming together and have won three of their last four games - all to ranked teams - against Gary Blair's Texas A&M team, Tennessee's Lady Vols, and today against Missouri. Could be interesting to see how they close their season.

Bret Bielema Added to SXSW Lineup

Despite what Kliff Kingsbury would want you to believe, Bret Bielema is very popular on the conference/convention circuit - even in Texas. So much so that this year he's been invited to speak at the enormously popular South by Southwest (SXSW) festival in Austin on March 11th. Bielema will be part of a panel discussing the virtual reality technology Arkansas used this past season, and will run through plays for the audience. Details can be found here.

Devwah Whaley Reportedly Will Not Visit Texas This Weekend

Arkansas' star running back commitment had been considering visiting Texas this weekend since before he committed to the Hogs on national television on January 2nd, but apparently he's decided not to visit Austin, which should make Razorback fans feel pretty great about Whaley's firmness to Arkansas.

Anthlon Bell Named SEC Player of the Week

Here's why: Bell averaged 25.5 points and four rebounds in wins over Vanderbilt and Mississippi State. He scored a career-high 26 points against Vanderbilt, making a season-high six three-pointers. Bell hit the game-saving three-pointer against the Commodores with two seconds left in regulation to erase a one-point deficit. On Sunday he tallied 25 points against Mississippi State with five treys. Bell went 11-for-17 (.647) from behind the arc and leads the SEC with 15 treys in conference play. Bell ranks No. 2 in the SEC with 49 three-pointers made on the year and No. 3 with a .471 three-point field goal percentage. He is one of 14 players in the country with five-plus treys made in five different games this season. Bell has scored 20-plus points in five of the last eight games.

LB Jordan Carmouche Decommits From Arkansas

This is unfortunate. Obviously, Arkansas is in dire need of linebackers and this is one they've been on for a long time. A couple of Arkansas' recruiting reporters are reporting he wanted to play running back in college and the Hogs said no. He committed to the Razorbacks back in the fall and now is back on the market. Arkansas is now back to 16 commitments in the 2016 class. Also, don't tweet anything stupid to him.

Watch Knile Davis Return the Opening Kickoff of Chiefs NFL Playoff Game

Why didn't he return kickoffs at Arkansas? Blame Bobby. I suppose Dennis Johnson was pretty good though.

Football Scoop Reporting Arkansas to Hire Kurt Anderson as OL Coach

This is not official, but it is the first report suggesting Bret Bielema has made his choice on Arkansas' new offensive line hire. Anderson has been the Assistant Offensive Line Coach for the Buffalo Bills for the past three seasons following a long stint at Eastern Michigan and as a GA for Michigan under Lloyd Carr. Here's his bio from the Bills' website.

RB Devin White Commits To LSU Over Arkansas

LSU was heavily favored to land the 4* player from Louisiana. White officially visited Arkansas and was one of the few running backs the Hogs have been recruiting for a long time for this class. Jared Cornelius is his cousin.

Brandon Allen Accepts Senior Bowl Invite

There was a bit of a controversy about a month ago when Brandon Allen wasn't initially selected to participate in the Senior Bowl because the bowl continued it's tradition of giving Alabama quarterbacks first priority regardless of on-field performance. Well, apparently, one of the initial invited quarterbacks won't be able to make it, and Allen has snatched the opportunity. Congratulations.
