Arizona State*-There was a deficit of $2,892,931 for the FY22 reporting period. Revenue has been increased by this amount for the "Not Allocated by Gender/Sport" category to account for this difference since the report does not allow a negative number to be reported in Line 16 of the Summary page. Any team that had a negative operating balance (total revenues less total expenses) for the reporting period had their revenue increased to bring each sport into balance for the purposes of submitting this report, at the direction of EADA Help Desk staff. Other Sport is Women's Triathlon
California*-Non-Program revenue was allocated to Other Women's Sports to offset a negative balance per EADA instructions.
UCLA*-Revenues noted are allocated amounts, not necessarily generated amounts, in compliance with report instructions.
Colorado*-Per EADA requirements, in order to balance the revenue and expenses, the total revenue not allocated by sport includes an additional $1,108,126.
Florida Atlantic*-Revenues indicated are not necessarily attributable to each specific sport, but rather allocated amongst total athletic revenues (including NCAA distributions, student fees, etc.) to cover expenses for each sport. Revenue used to cover capital expenses are not included, as per the EADA instructions.
Georgia Tech*-Per EADA guidelines, annual debt service funding totaling 12,938,725 was removed from "Not Allocated by Gender/Sports" Revenues
Hawaii*-This system does not allow the men's, women's or coed team to have more expenses than revenues. In order to balance the revenues and expenses as required by this system, $4,924,271 was added to men's golf's actual revenue of $191,324 and entered as $5,115,595. $4,948,887 was added to women's golf's actual revenue of $ 286,857 and entered as $5,235,744. $76,296 was added to the coed sailing's actual revenue of $22,106 and entered at $98,402. $9,949,454 was deducted from the Not Allocated by Gender/Sport to account for the $4,924,271 added to men's revenue, $4,948,887 added to women's revenue and $76,296 added to coed revenue.
Notre Dame*-Includes COVID impacted revenues from the previous fiscal year. Due to unknowns at the time, they were unable to be accrued in FY2021.
Kentucky*-Total Revenues do not include $7.589M used to pay for debt service. In addition, the instructions for this report require revenue to be re-allocated to ensure all sports are "fully funded." Please note that our athletics department will report a small profit, but all sports do not have a net income of zero as this report shows. All our sports are truly fully funded, but not in the manner shown here (revenue in this fiscal year came mostly from non-sports specific, men’s basketball, and football). The NCAA report will show all sports with the actual revenue earned by sport.
Louisiana-Monroe*-University of Louisiana Monroe's athletic programs are primarily supported by the institution's annual operating budget.
Eastern Michigan*-Lacrosse revenues reported among "Not Allocated by Gender/Sport" field per p.73 of EADA User's Guide and confirmed per email from "EADA help".
Michigan State*-Teams were back to full schedules after COVID, so total revenues increased significantly. Revenues not allocated by gender/sport include revenues for men's and women's swimming and diving, which were discontinued in spring 2021. These revenues consisted mainly of gifts and endowment income received on behalf of these sports and is allocated between sports is as follows: Men's Swimming and Diving = $19,528 Women's Swimming and Diving = $8,264 Also, total revenues do not include capital projects and debt service totaling $27.4m.
Minnesota*-Revenue for Debt Service and Indirect Revenue not included in EADA revenue reporting
Rutgers*-Overall increases in Revenues attributable to sports vs. FY21 due to an increase in total expenses (see previous screens' caveats).
UNLV*-The amount of revenue per sport reported on the Federal EADA Report differs from the figures reported on the NCAA Financial Report because Mountain West (MW) monies and MMR rights have been spread across the reports to be compliant with federal rules that require all sports show revenues
Appalachian State*-During FY 22 Appalachian State University did not sponsor a Men's Indoor Track and Field program, but the Men's Outdoor Track and Men's Cross Country program revenues were still combined.
New Mexico*-Please note Men's and Women's cross country and indoor/outdoor track is a combined budget, so revenues are portioned out by participants for each team. In FY21 EADA report these sports were combined into one sport category. Revenue amount not attributed to sports includes $1.2M of HEERF funding allocated to the department to offset lost revenues and additional Covid-19 expenses due to the continued impact of the pandemic.
North Carolina*-Excludes indirect institutional support per EADA guidelines (this will be in NCAA Report)
Kent State*-Institutional support (student fees allocated by 15 for each sport) = $11,562,000/15 = $770,800 added to each team
Oklahoma State*-Revenue not allocated by gender/sport does not include $2,878,041 allocated for debt service
Penn State*-Historically, data for each of the 20 Penn State campus locations offering intercollegiate athletic programs was reported separately. Due to a change in federal IPEDS reporting definitions, Penn State is reporting information collectively as one entity under one unit identification number. The above Total Revenue reflect total revenue across our 20 campuses with athletic programs. Penn State will revert back to the past reporting structure beginning in FY 2023.
Tennessee*-Revenue not allocated by gender/sport includes gross up related to a $2,363,437 deficit for fiscal year 2021-22.
Utah*-Beach Volleyball did not have any revenues for the 2021-22 year. It is subsidized by Volleyball within the department.
Utah State*-USU Eastern: Men's Basketball - 146,242.51 Baseball - 130,839.99 Men's Soccer - 97,783.68 Women's Basketball - 141,810.98 Women's Soccer - 80,162.01 Women's Softball - 96,908.96 Women's Volleyball - 132,731.33
Virginia Tech*-Men's Football revenue covers a portion of women's sports expenses.. Internal loan for football staff coaching transition.
Wisconsin*-This report does not include revenue used to pay for capital expenditures
West Virginia*-The amount of Revenue per sport reported on the Federal EADA report differs from the number reported on the NCAA EADA because Big 12 monies and MMR rights have been spread across the reports to be compliant with federal rules that all sports show revenue.
