Arizona State*-There was a deficit of $10,922,942 for the FY20 reporting period. Revenue has been increased by this amount for the "Not Allocated by Gender/Sport" category to account for this difference since the report does not allow a negative number to be reported in Line 16 of the Summary page. Other Sport is Women's Triathlon
Arizona*-Excess Revenue generated by sports such as football and men’s basketball is used to offset sports whose expenses exceed the revenue that they generate.
Arkansas*-Revenue funding for Not Allocated by Gender/Sport includes $499,779 of dollars from reserves to cover FY20 expenses.
Florida Atlantic*-Revenues indicated are not necessarily attributable to each specific sport, but rather allocated amongst total athletic revenues (including conference payments, student fees, etc.) to cover expenses for each sport. Revenues used to cover capital expenses and revenue from activities other than intercollegiate athletic activities are not included as per EADA report description.
Florida International*-Men's track, field, and cross country is correct. Women's revenue is higher as they have title IX funds attributed which contributed to the majority of their revenue reported.
South Florida*-22.8M of unallocated revenues were redistributed to cover the operational costs of all Athletic Programs - this was done to comply with EADA Reporting Requirements.
Georgia Tech*-Per EADA guidelines, annual debt service funding totaling $9,729,533 was removed from "Not Allocated by Gender/Sport" revenues. In addition, $9,701,686 was added to "Not Allocated by Gender/Sport" revenues and represents the annual operating deficit funded by the department's reserves.
Hawaii*-The Athletics Department had a net loss of $2,789,491 for the fiscal year 2020. The institution loaned the Athletics Department the funds to cover the loss. $2,789,491 was added to the revenues "not allocated by gender/Sport" to reflect this.
Kentucky*-Total Revenues in this report differ from those reported to the NCAA due to the exclusion of the funds used to pay for debt service ($7.659M).
Louisiana-Monroe*-University of Louisiana Monroe's athletic programs are primarily supported by the Institution's annual operating budget.
Maryland*-Included in Not Allocated by Gender/Sport - Men's Track and Field (Outdoor) - $82,706; Women's Track and Field (Outdoor) - $32,391
Michigan State*-The reporting format excludes capital project and debt service revenue and expenses totaling $23.8 million. If contributions were not received for the specific project or sport, but expenses were incurred, the revenue "not allocated by gender/sport" was reduced. If contributions were received during the year toward a project/sport for which expenses were incurred, both the revenue and expense total for that particular sport was reduced. Revenue was down mainly due to COVID related issues, including reduced gifts and the lack of a Big Ten or NCAA basketball tournament. Reserves of $17.8m were added to revenue, so total expenses were not greater than total revenue. These reserves helped offset the decreased revenue and were used to cover the expenses related to the change in the football coaching staff.
New Mexico State*-Not allocated by gender/sport includes financial aid revenues for the sport of Equestrian which was discontinued at the conclusion of 2016-17.
North Carolina*-Excludes indirect institutional support - $2,592,182 of non allocated revenue represents fund reserve balance used to cover expenses
Ohio State*-Men's and Women's Outdoor Track did not compete during the EADA reporting period due to COVID-19.
Clemson*-Used reserve funds for deficit. Some funds not received this year due to COVID-19.
Oklahoma State*-Revenue not allocated by Gender/Sport does not include $3,682,834 of debt service
Tennessee*-Revenue not allocated by gender/sport includes funding from the reserve in the amount of $566,856, which represents the deficit in fiscal year 2019-20.
Baylor*-Acrobatics & Tumbling is reported as Gymnastics.
SMU*-Women's Outdoor Track and Field did not participate in any intercollegiate competitions during the reporting period as a result of a cancelled season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This sport is included in the Women's Teams Track and Field and Cross Country (combined) section.
Texas Tech*-DOES NOT INCLUDE DEBT SERVICE CONTRIBUTIONS.
Utah*-Beach Volleyball did not have any revenues for the 2019-20 year. It is subsidized by another sport within the department.
Utah State*-USU Eastern Accounts for: MBB - 371,585 WBB - 297,650 Baseball - all Men's Soccer - all WSOC - 156,925.54 Volleyball - 216,033 Softball - 168,776 Other - Esports - All
West Virginia*-The amount of Revenue per sport reported on the Federal EADA report differs from the number reported on the NCAA EADA because Big 12 monies and MMR rights have been spread across the reports to be compliant with federal rules that all sports show revenue.
