Arkansas Recruiting: Kiel Pollard Decommits from the Razorbacks; Flips to South Carolina

Take one off the board.

Georgia athlete Kiel Pollard committed to Arkansas back in September and seemed solid throughout most of the process until South Carolina hired Will Muschamp back in December.

Pollard took an official visit to Columbia earlier this month, and many thought he would flip to the Gamecocks immediately. It wasn't immediate, but the athlete finally did pledge to South Carolina on Sunday.

It was never really certain where Arkansas wanted to play Pollard. He's generally listed as a receiver but the Hogs were said to be considering him for defense. Pollard had a huge senior season and was just recently bumped to 4-star status on Rivals. He's still a 3-star prospect on the other services.

Ultimately for the Razorbacks, this drops Arkansas down to 20 commitments heading into the last few days before Signing Day. They are hoping to sign 24-25 players, so we'll see who they're able to find. There are still a few prospects from the last two weekends of official visits who have yet to make up their minds. Most of them plan to announce on Signing Day.
