GOOD NEWS HAS COME FOR THE ARKANSAS BASKETBALL PROGRAM

The Razorbacks have landed a commitment from 4* forward Daniel Gafford for the class of 2017 according to several reports on Twitter.

Gafford's profile blew up on the summer circuit this year as the Hogs just offered him a couple of weeks ago. But Arkansas wasn't alone. Gafford also was offered by Kansas, Florida, Vanderbilt, and others. Scout has him ranked as the #39 overall prospect in the 2017 class. He's reportedly only played basketball for a couple of years, so his potential is really high.

He was in Fayetteville today for Mike Anderson's summer camp.

This is Arkansas' first commitment for the 2017 class. The Hogs shouldn't have too many openings for that group as the only openings due to graduation should be Moses Kingsley and Dusty Hannahs. That being said, with the fluidity of basketball scholarships in today's game it's too soon to know for sure. But one thing is for certain, Gafford is a tremendous start for the Razorbacks.
