Arkansas Basketball Recruiting: Adrio Bailey Commits to the Razorbacks

Small Forward 6'7" 210 lbs. Campti, Louisiana

The Arkansas basketball program continues to add to its big 2016 recruiting class with the commitment of small forward Adrio Bailey.

Bailey committed immediately following his official visit to Arkansas over the weekend. He's the third commitment in this class and the first to commit out of high school. A three-star prospect out of Campti, Louisiana, Bailey chose the Hogs over offers from Wichita State, Louisiana Tech and several others. Some outlets also report an offer from Oklahoma State.

As a swingman from Louisiana, Bailey will likely draw easy comparisons to Michael Qualls. In fact, Arkansas assistant coach Matt Zimmerman used that comparison to help draw him to Arkansas, so Bailey said to Richard Davenport.

The Razorbacks offered Bailey in July, so the coaches have been on him for a little while. The highlight video above was released during Bailey's junior year of high school. He has apparently grown and developed a bit since then. Arkansas really needs backcourt talent to fill out most of the rest of the class and hopefully Bailey is the first step in filling that need.

Arkansas still has, at minimum, two more open scholarships for this class. They could very well end up with more openings depending on what happens with Anton Beard and Dustin Thomas.
