The Razorbacks confirmed shortly after that tweet from Hartfield that he has in fact left the program.
Hartfield redshirted in 2013 after arriving to fall camp late due to NCAA issues, but coaches raved about his speed and athleticism at receiver, a position in which Arkansas really could've used some help. Unfortunately, Hartfield didn't get on the field last year and likely won't in a Razorback uniform.
The Hogs have had really bad luck with receivers lately. And this is also disappointing in that Melvinson Hartfield was my favorite name on the team. It's fantastic. Not sure who my new favorite name is. Hopefully Arkansas will sign Jojo Robinson to fill Hartfield's spot both as a talented receiver and as a great name.
