Arkansas didn’t have a lot of unknowns heading into today, but one was if they could flip Gregory Brooks Jr. and the Hogs got a huge positive when they did.

The Hogs have been working on trying to flip Brooks for a while now, and with the uncertainty of Devin Bush’s commitment, this becomes a big win for the Hogs. Bush has been one of the highest ranked commits in the 2019 class but has recently backed off being an expected early enrollee to now waiting to sign in February, a bad sign for the Hogs.
Brooks is a 3-star and the 17th ranked player in the state of Louisiana, a state the Hogs have punched above their weight in for a while now. He had been committed to Mississippi State since June, but made an official visit to Fayetteville in November and the trip apparently was good enough of a trip to help make the switch.
