SEC football is back and already testing us. We’ve been waiting and waiting and waiting to see our favorite and many of our least favorites (plus Vanderbilt), and the dang conference goes and puts a bunch of expected blowouts on the schedule for week one. Will they all be blowouts? Maybe not! But also...maybe.
The four teams predicted to finish at the top of the SEC are all taking on the four teams with new coaches. What a year to be a new coach in the SEC, and what a way to start the season!
Two games on the schedule have a betting line within one possession, so maybe give those games a look: Kentucky travels to Auburn as a touchdown underdog, and Tennessee is about a field goal favorite over South Carolina in Columbia. The caveat to this suggestion is you’d be watching Kentucky and South Carolina play football. Bleh. But maybe Chad Morris will extend his personal SEC losing streak! Hog fans believe in you, coach, in this one very particular way.
Here’s the gang’s predictions for how the games will go this week. Our (near-)unanimity strengthens us. If you have any picks or insights, drop ‘em in the comments!
