Arkansas Forward Reggie Chaney has koi entered the transfer portal. The Tulsa, OK native averaged 4.8 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.0 blocks per game in 2 seasons as a Razorback.
His best career game came against Providence in the NIT as a freshman when he recorded 14 points, 5 rebounds, and 7 blocks.
Chaney saw his role diminish at the end of last season. He played no more than 8 minutes in 6 of the last 7 games. With the addition of Indiana transfer Justin Smith, Chaney’s role may have been reduced even more. There are a lot of front court options for Head Coach Eric Musselman this season. This had to be one of the deciding factors for Chaney.
Arkansas is now at the limit of 13 scholarship players. Despite that, Isaiah Joe’s NBA status is still unclear. Arkansas adding another player may not be out of the picture. Time will tell.
