Biggest And Best Games Of The Series

January 31, 2010

Arkansas 80 @ #18 Ole Miss 73

The season was going very poorly for the Hogs. Arkansas had only beaten 1 Power 7 team so far that season. A ranked Ole Miss team came to the Hill and the Hogs came to play. Michael Washington, Rotnei Clarke, and Marshawn Powell combined for 59 points as the Hogs came back from 5 down at halftime. This win didn’t turn the season around, but anytime you beat the Rebel, it is a good day!

#17 Ole Miss 87 @ #14 Arkansas 100

There have only been 2 ranked matchups between Arkansas and Ole Miss. This was one of them. A high scoring affair where Arkansas scored 62 points in the 2nd half. Pat Bradley led the way with 21 points. The Hogs shot 46 free throws to win by 13.

Ole Miss 80 @ Arkansas 110

I was supposed to attend this game, but became ill on the day of the game. I missed out on a route of Marshall Henderson and the Rebels. A few years ago, I had a Twitter interaction with him where he mentioned how he will “never forget” the route the Hogs gave the Rebels that night. Arkansas made 17 three pointers and shot 19 of 20 from the free throw line.

Arkansas 71 @ Ole Miss 70

Arkansas was having its’ best season in 19 years and this game was in the middle of a 7 game winning streak. The streak may have happened if not for an unlikely hero in this game. It was close most of the game and the ending was back and forth. Manny Watkins with 6.4 seconds had a short runner from the baseline to give Arkansas the lead and the win.

Ole Miss 73 @ Arkansas 74

Breein Tyree and Terence Davis were leading the best Ole Miss team in several years. Mason Jones and Daniel Gafford had 39 points combined as the Hogs shot 55.1% from the field. With 5.9 seconds to go, Jalen Harris made a wild layup to give Arkansas the lead. When Ole Miss was attempting to inbound the ball, Gabe Osabuohien stole the pass and dribbled out the clock.

Outstanding Performances

Daryl Macon – February 18, 2017

Macon came off the bench and dropped 30 points on 10-13 shooting to lead Arkansas to a 18 point win.

Patrick Beverley – February 17, 2007

Beverley has always been a triple double threat. He filled up the stat sheet in 2007 against Ole Miss. He had 24 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, and 4 steals on 7 of 13 shooting in this blowout!
