Jones Signs With CAA Agency, Staying in NBA Draft

It has been a long road for Razorback fans to learn of the final decision of Razorback combo guard, Mason Jones will make concerning his return to the University of Arkansas for his senior season or forgoing his eligibility and returning to school.

The storyline seems to continue to develop with Mason Jones staying in the NBA Draft. Today, the CAA Agency announced the signing of Jones as an agent.


On March 27th, Jones announced he would test the waters of the NBA Draft. As many times it has been pounded in our heads, Jones never received an offer coming out of high school, went the junior college route by playing at Connors State and was committed to the University of Central Arkansas before he was offered by the previous Arkansas staff.

The 6’5 218 guard/forward averaged 22 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.4 assists this season. Jones was the SEC scoring leader, led the country in free throws made (233), free throws attempted (288), scored 30 points or more in nine games and 20+ points in 18 of the Razorbacks 32 games.

Jones was also named the AP SEC Player of the Year, AP 1st team All-SEC, SEC Co-Player of the Year, AP All-American Honorable.
