It’s felt like forever since the Hogs have been on the field. Even though they’ve been a double-digit underdog practically all week, you have a sense that the state is quietly confident that Arkansas can pull another one out.
After all, two of the Razorbacks’ three* victories have come on the road as double-digit underdogs.
On the other hand, Texas A&M is in the top ten after taking care of business against Florida and Mississippi State. Their running game is on fire, and their defense looks to be a stiff challenge.
Maybe most importantly, has the karmic balance finally been restored from that 2011 comeback? Haven’t the Hogs paid that back with heartbreaks over the last near-decade? It’s time to put all of that behind us.
Have the other SEC teams shown us their final form? Is LSU the team that gave up all those points to Mississippi State and Missouri, or the team that showed up and handled a feisty South Carolina? Does Mississippi State, now without their best player, have any juice left to even get one against Vandy? Is Florida a playoff contender, or is everyone going to run over them?
What about A&M? The Aggies beat Florida, and all of a sudden, you’re just supposed to ignore this one:
