It didn’t take long for three impressive performances to pay off for the now beloved walk-on defensive back. Hudson Clark, the redshirt freshman out of Highland Park in Dallas, Texas has been announced as a scholarship recipient come January.
Coming off a three interception Saturday against the quarterback with the highest efficiency rating in all of college football, Clark will have his school paid for and this will be worth every penny.
“I called Hudson Clark last evening, asked him to come see me,” Pittman said. “We’re out of scholarships at this day, but in January we’re going to put him on scholarship. I think he’s earned that and we’re awful happy to be able to do that. He was happy and excited and probably thought in his mind, it’s about time. But we were happy to give him a scholarship starting in January.”
During the post game press conference on Saturday, Pittman was asked about the performance of the cornerback and this is what he had to say:
“Well, they’ve heard of him now,” Pittman said after Arkansas’ 33-21 victory over Ole Miss on Saturday. “Three times at least.”
