SEC Weekend Preview: Time to Add to That Resume

Several teams with NCAA Tourney goals have big chances this weekend.

#5 Kentucky at Mississippi State

Noon CT | CBS

The Bulldogs have a huge chance at home for a big time resume win. Wins over Florida, Auburn, and Cincinnati are nice, but beating the Wildcats would be enormous.

Ole Miss at Georgia

Noon CT | SEC Network

If the Rebels trip up here, that great start has been officially wasted and they’ll start sweating that NCAA Tournament birth. If they’re 15-8 with a lot of tough games left they could be in trouble.

Auburn at #21 LSU

1 p.m. CT | ESPN2

Bryce Brown has been playing some great ball as of late. A win for them would solidify them in the Tourney. LSU will want this one to try and potentially jump into that top-4 seed race in the NCAA Tournament

Arkansas at South Carolina

2:30 p.m. CT | SEC Network

A loss for Arkansas wouldn’t be disastrous but wouldn’t be great, and a win really helps with their SEC Standings. South Carolina needs this one to try stay above .500 and stay eligible for any postseason play.

Florida at #1 Tennessee

3 p.m. CT | ESPN

The Gators are starting to sweat things this year. The losses are starting to build up to an unsettling amount. If they could somehow go into Knoxville and knock off the top team in the nation that all goes away.

Texas A&M at Missouri

5 p.m. CT | SEC Network

The fight to avoid Tuesday Night Sadness at the SEC Tournament kicks up a notch with this one.

Alabama at Vanderbilt

7:30 p.m. CT | SEC Network

Like Arkansas in the midweek, Alabama just needs to avoid a disastrous loss.
