Mens Cross Country
The full strength squad made their debut at the home Chili Pepper Invitational and Arkansas cruised to a win. Arkansas had three of the top-5 finishers in a dominating win. Gilbert Bold was the top Razorback to finish and was second. Cameron Griffith was third and Ryan Murphy finished fourth.
Womens Cross Country
Like the men, they also dominated in the Chili Pepper Invitational. Katrina Robinson won the individual title, leading the 9th ranked Hogs. Carina Viljoen and Taylor Werner also had top-5 finishes, ending the race in 2nd and 4th respectively.
Soccer
It was a huge weekend for Colby Hale’s team. They were able to upset No. 2 and SEC favorites Texas A&M 3-2 at home. Tori Cannata opened the scoring in the first half before an A&M free kick leveled the match and the two went into halftime tied at 1. Cannata and Bryana Hunter then were able to score within five minutes of each other to give the Hogs a 3-1 lead, which they were able to hold onto despite another Aggies free kick goal.
Then on the tail end of that they finished off their third shut out of the season and got a 1-0 win against Alabama. Getting both wins was huge after stumbling out of the gate against Georgia to start SEC play.
Volleyball
It was a rough start in SEC play for the Volleyball team, who lost to Texas A&M and Missouri. They lost to A&M in straight sets but all three were a competitive 25-23, the Hogs just fell short in the decisive moments. Missouri, one of the SEC’s top teams this year, was much more decisive in their four set win. A bright spot in that match was Hailey Dirrigl who led all players with 17 kills.
