In this recent spree of commits, Arkansas had mostly been adding defensive commits. Today they added to the offense with A’Montae Spivey committing to the Hogs. The 3-star running back announced his committment today but said he had told the coaching staff in June of his plans to join the Hogs.

Spivey is a 3-star from Phenix City, Alabama. LSU made a late push to get him, but Spivey ultimately chose the Hogs over them, Missouri, Purdue, Cincinnati and others. At 6-foot-1 and 185 pounds, he ran for 944 yards and 14 touchdowns for an 11-1 program.
This gives the Hogs 18 commits in the class of 2019. In 247Sports’ rankings they continue to rank just outside the top-20. This late summer push has been huge for the Razorbacks, who are currently ranked higher than programs like Florida, Nebraska, TCU, Virginia Tech, and Washington in both overall ranking and average recruit ranking.
