Adonis Otey Commits to Arkansas

Arkansas’ recruiting run is still going strong.

This past week in recruiting has been nothing short of excellent for the Hogs, not long after landing top-100 prospect Treylon Burks, they added a 4-star on the defensive side of the ball. Adonis Otey from Murfreesboro, TN announced via twitter that he was committing to the Hogs.

Otey was a priority target for a lot of big time schools. He ended up choosing the Hogs over Louisville and Auburn, he also had an impressive offer list that included Alabama, Florida State, LSU, Michigan, Ohio State, and Oklahoma.

A 5-foot-11, 190 pound cornerback, Otey is the 11th ranked player from the state of Tennessee and 307th nationally. He has played a lot at both cornerback and free safety, but projects to be a better cornerback. He will join a group of cornerbacks that could potentially include Ryan Pulley, Chevin Calloway, and Britto Tutt in 2019.

Including the two playing at IMG this year, Shamar Nash and Eric Gregory, Otey makes the third commit from the state of Tennessee. He’s also the 16th in the class of 2019, which is now ranked 21st by 247Sports. The work that Chad Morris and his staff have put into recruiting has really paid off here right before fall camp, and it’s shaping up one of the best recruiting classes in years.
