More On The Commodores
Vandy put themselves through hell this season and it hasn’t paid off for them. Throw in some terrible injury luck and you get the 9-15 record. In non conference play, the Commodores took on USC, Virginia, Seton Hall, Kansas State, Arizona State, Middle Tennessee, and TCU. They went 1-7 in those games. They also won’t have Matthew Fisher-Davis for the remainder of the year with a shoulder injury. It’s been a tough year.
Projected Starters

Since having Daryl Macon and Darious Hall in the starting lineup looks like it isn’t going to happen. Expect Mike Anderson to ride out this last stretch with his senior guards. Your guess as to who starts inside along Gafford is as good as anyone’s at this point. The Commodores have been shuffling lineups all season as well. Vandy has had 10 different players get a start in SEC play alone.
3 Key Stats

That second half effort on defense against South Carolina will have to be there again, as the Commodores won’t put up a lot of possessions, but they make them count. The thing that has killed them this year is their abysmal defensive numbers. Arkansas has been poor on defense but still way ahead of where Vandy is in a lot of categories. The Hogs should be able to put up some big numbers in this one, if not they’ll be giving a team on a poor run a shot to steal one.
