It’s Arkansas’ final tune up before the grind of conference play starts. The Hogs take on the Governors of Austin Peay. Like Texas State, they’ve racked up some wins, but haven’t exactly faced murderers row in doing so.
The starters are going to be a little different for Austin Peay than usual. KenPom has Terry Taylor listed as their most used center, but he’s giving up six inches to Daniel Gafford. Jabari McGhee has some more height but is giving up 23 pounds. Either way, Gafford should have a more dominant game with this matchup.
The numbers show how guard heavy this team is as well. They defend the three point line very well but are one of the worst interior defenses the Hogs have faced this season. A lot of the teams Arkansas has faced this season have featured pretty solid big men, a move that I’m sure was calculated. Here is the one exception, as Gafford should feast in this one.
