Pro Hogs: Jarius Wright Continues to be Reliable When Targeted

Arkansas loses a major coach to the big leagues

NFL: Carolina Panthers at Pittsburgh Steelers Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

Alex Collins has seen his role reduce over the last couple of weeks and received only 7 carries for 18 yards in a win against the Bengals. He did, however, happen to score another touchdown, bringing his total to 8 touchdowns on the season.

Jarius Wright caught all three of his targets for the second week in a row. He totaled 40 yards receiving, including a 21 yard catch in a loss against the Lions.

This week Keon Hatcher was signed to the Raiders’ 53 man roster.

Patrick Beverley had a 10 point, 7 rebound game in a win against San Antonio, his fifth double digit scoring game of the season. He dished out 8 assists in a win against Brooklyn and is averaging 4.5 assists per game this season.

While most of these Pro Hogs stories focus on players, there was some big news within the Razorbacks baseball coaching staff this week. After two years as Arkansas’ pitching coach, Wes Johnson has taken the same position for the Minnesota Twins. He will be greatly missed, but Arkansas has been a coveted program by coaches for years and will no doubt make another great hire to recruit and develop quality pitching.
