Arkansas just filled up their power five non conference schedule through 2025. Arkansas and BYU announced a home and home series, in Provo, UT in 2022. The two teams come to Fayetteville in 2023. The matchup in Provo is scheduled for October 15th, right in the middle of the year. The return to Fayetteville is tentatively marked for a Week 3, September 23rd date.

As the Razorback twitter account noted, this is the first time the two will have met on the football field. Arkansas fans will get a chance to see another one of the most scenic places in college football. LaVell Edwards Stadium has some insane views of the Wasatch Mountains.
As an independent, BYU gets very creative with scheduling. They’re no stranger to the SEC, they recently played a home and home against Mississippi State. They also have series scheduled with Tennessee and Missouri. In 2023, the Cougars will play both Tennessee and the Hogs. In addition to the SEC, they’ve scheduled series or recently played Wisconsin, Washington, Virginia Tech, Stanford, USC, and NC State. So they try and take full advantage of filling 12 schedule spots every year.
For the Hogs, it fills their slots for a Power 5/Independent team through 2025 and alternating between home and away. Right now that schedule looks like this.
2019: vs. Colorado State
2020: at Notre Dame
2021: vs. Texas
2022: at BYU
2023: vs. BYU
2024: at Oklahoma State
2025: vs. Notre Dame
2026: TBD (likely road game)
2027: vs. Oklahoma State
